L.A. Noire

I’m ashamed because I hadn’t heard of L.A. Noire until someone sent me a request asking if I'd draw the main characters. Even though I wasn't familiar with the cast, they were a lot of fun to draw (although somewhat challenging due to their similarities as well as me not being familiar with the characters.) I tried to capture the uniqueness of their features though.

So here are a few doodles of Cole Phelps, Herschel Biggs, Roy Earle, Stefan Bekowsky, Rusty Galloway, and Jack Kelso.

Bunny Slippers

This past Christmas I knit some bunny slippers for my wonderful best friend Meg. ♥ It was my first time trying to felt, but I wanted to make her something really special.

(If interested in knitting a pair of your own, the adorable pattern I purchased can be found for sale here!)

Sherlock Holmes

In honor of Sherlock’s birthday, I wanted to post a few pen and ink illustrations from the Sherlock Holmes book I made. In my Illustrated Book class we had to choose a favorite novel then create a body of work for it. Sherlock was a given so I narrowed it down to my favorite of the Adventures stories, The Speckled Band.

Rather than just drawing the illustrations I ended up building a physical book (made it from chipboard, sewed the pages together, glued in endpapers, etc) using the text from Chris Sasaki’s children’s adaptation because I thought it’d be a lovely thing to have.

Happy Birthday, my favorite fictional husband detective. ♥
