Bunny Slippers
This past Christmas I knit some bunny slippers for my wonderful best friend Meg. ♥ It was my first time trying to felt, but I wanted to make her something really special.
(If interested in knitting a pair of your own, the adorable pattern I purchased can be found for sale here!)

Sherlock Holmes
In honor of Sherlock’s birthday, I wanted to post a few pen and ink illustrations from the Sherlock Holmes book I made. In my Illustrated Book class we had to choose a favorite novel then create a body of work for it. Sherlock was a given so I narrowed it down to my favorite of the Adventures stories, The Speckled Band.
Rather than just drawing the illustrations I ended up building a physical book (made it from chipboard, sewed the pages together, glued in endpapers, etc) using the text from Chris Sasaki’s children’s adaptation because I thought it’d be a lovely thing to have.
Happy Birthday, my favorite

Strongbox Magazine
This past November I was contacted by Strongbox Magazine asking if I'd like to illustrate a two page spread for their upcoming issue. The project was adorable (the Editor-in-Chief's sister-in-law found a story she had written in the 4th grade about her friendship with her pencil) and I'm honored they asked me to contribute!
The magazine just went up and my work can be found on pages 38 and 39. They were a pleasure to work with so I wanted to share their publication. ♥ Thanks Strongbox!

Snake Necklaces
Christmas presents! Three of my best friends rent a house together and are all snake owners. Since I knit them headbands of their cats last year, I wanted to do something involving their pet snakes this time. I used pliers to bend little wire frames, covered each with Sculpey, and painted them to look like their “kids”. The snakes themselves range from 0.5” to 0.75” in size.
From top to bottom, left to right, their names are: Leviathan, Ninjin, Ziti, Boston, Glinda, Casanova, and Elphaba. ♥

Homemade Harvest
Whew! I’ve been busy all week sewing plush keychains to sell at the Homemade Harvest today (I tried to make a few Halloween ones for the season too!) But now that the event over, it’s time to start working on commissions :)
